A Valorant player received a gift from Riot Games for being a good teammate and not getting provoked.
What led to the provocations? On Reddit, the user “Nunziu” explains that he played Riot Games’ tactical shooter Valorant with some friends. One of his friends was new to the game, so Nunziu primarily tried to show him the game and explain the abilities of the played agent.
Nunziu recalls in his Reddit post that a player in the opposing team stood out, who played the duelist Reyna. This player was at rank “Ascendant 3”, which made Nunziu a bit tense.
At some point, the Reyna player started to provoke Nunziu. He wrote messages like: “Nice Immo buddy lol.” With this, he referred to Nunziu’s weapon charm, which are called “Gun Buddy” in Valorant.
An “Immo” buddy is the reward for reaching the Immortal rank.

Player stays nice despite provocations, gets rewarded
How did the player react? “Nunziu” didn’t get rattled and stayed friendly, he writes in the Reddit post. He responded to the provocations that the Reyna player was really good and could easily get an Immortal “Gun Buddy”.
In the end, Nunziu and his team won the match 13-12. His teammate, who is new to Valorant, even got the final kill.
After the match, Nunziu even received a surprising gift from a Riot employee.
What kind of reward was it? Nunziu writes on Reddit that he received a special Gun Buddy from Riot Games. This one is called “Fist Bump Buddy” and looks like a fist.
It turned out that a teammate of Nunziu was secretly an employee of Riot Games. After the match, this person sent Nunziu a message and gifted him the Gun Buddy as a reward: “Good game, I’m sending you a Riot Gun Buddy because you’re a great teammate.”
The moral of the story is very clear: Be good teammates, stay nice, and don’t get provoked. Maybe you, too, have a hidden Riot employee in your match who rewards you for good behavior.
