On Twitch, the streaming group OTK led by Mizkif hosts the quiz show “Schooled”. There has now been a scandal in the finale of season 2 over $50,000: One player had cheated by looking up questions on his smartphone. He confessed, but only after being caught by clever internet detectives on reddit.
How does the show work?
- The show works such that a series of content creators are invited to the Twitch stream of Mizkif.
- In the show, they then answer questions from a school subject. Classic “general school knowledge” is tested. More and more people are eliminated from the show one by one.
- In the end, the winner of the finale can take home a large prize.
Question on “History” determines who wins $50,000
How did the finale go this time? In the finale of season 2 of “OKT Schooled”, 2 content creators from the gaming side faced off:
- Phil “EE” Visu – He is a commentator for SMASH, the quirky fighting game from Nintendo. He has been involved with the smash scene since 2009, previously as a player.
- Emily “ExtraEmily” Xuechun Zhang, a Twitch streamer with about 900 viewers on average. She prefers to show Mario on Twitch.
The final question was who wrote “The Social Contract”. EE answered correctly with “Jean Rousseau” and claimed the $50,000 prize:
- ExtraEmily looked a bit disappointed into the camera, as she could have thought of that, instead of guessing “Karl Marx”.
- Mizkif shouted: EE clearly won, there can be no doubt about it.
- EE jumped, danced, and was overjoyed. He thanked his “motherfucking” father for taking the time to learn history with “his boy”. He would call him right away – a touching scene.
Streamer says, “he gave in to temptation”
What was the scandal? After EE’s victory, some people on reddit had gathered evidence showing that EE apparently looked up some questions on his smartphone. The reflection of the phone was visible in his glasses (reddit).

Due to the reflection of a cheat in glasses, several fraudsters had already revealed themselves.
After doubts about his victory arose, EE confessed on Twitter that he had actually cheated in the quiz show. He said he had “given in to temptation”. He felt “salty” because he felt mistreated during the tournament.
Organizers react depressed, perplexed, outraged
What is the reaction to this? It varies:
- The founder of OTK, Esfand, thanked EE for confessing and said there was no bad blood between EE and the team.
- MMORPG streamer Asmongold called EE a “piece of shit”, stating that he admitted it only because he was caught.
- Host Mizkif, on the other hand, is apparently “not angry, but just very, very disappointed”: He spontaneously announced in the Twitch chat that he would stop doing the show. He wants to create a good show, but it cannot go on like this (via dexerto).
The “loser” of the finale, ExtraEmily, will now receive the prize.
This is what it’s all about: In such a show where streamers participate “from home”, it’s very likely that cheating occurs through Google. That’s the crux of any virtual quiz show. Even in private settings, there’s always the suspicion that “someone is googling the answers”.
When amounts of money like this are at stake, the temptation is even greater:
