In Fortnite there will be a big live event for the end of Chapter 6: Galactic Battle where fans will be able to destroy the Death Star. To make sure you don’t miss the event, we will show you all the important dates related to it.
When does the event start? The event starts on Saturday, June 7th at 8:00 PM German time. At 6 PM, two hours before the start, you can already find a separate tab in the modes menu that belongs to the event.
It’s important that you log in a few hours before the actual start of the event. In the past, it has often happened that fans could not participate in live events because countless players rushed the servers. The result: queues and crashes.
So try to log in 2-3 hours before the start and secure a server spot.
The Star Wars season is coming to an end with a big event. Here’s what you missed:
What kind of event is it? In this event, fans will be tasked with destroying the Death Star over the map of Chapter 6 Season 3. Emperor Palpatine wants to destroy the current map, and to prevent that from happening, fans will have to team up in a squad of four players to thwart the evil plan of the Sith.
Are there rewards? There are indeed. If you log in between June 3rd and June 10th by 3 PM, you will receive two items from the Star Wars universe. These include:
- Loading screen “Attack on the Death Star” featuring Fish Stick
- Pickaxe “Mercury Combat Staff” from Captain Phasma
You don’t have to do anything else because you will receive the items immediately after logging in during this period.
Where can I watch? There are many well-known streamers famous for their Fortnite streams. So it’s very likely that you can experience the event with them. Here are some channels:
Is there server downtime after the event? It’s hard to say for sure. It is possible that Fortnite might shut down its servers immediately after the live event and continue the downtime on Sunday, June 8th. This has happened several times in the past.
Epic Games might let the downtime run overnight and then activate the servers again around noon on the weekend so fans can enjoy the new content.
