Good morning! The server downtime has some time before it stops you from playing, but until then you should know:
- At 9:30, matchmaking will be disabled.
- At 10:00, the server downtime will start.
During this time, you will not be able to log in until the downtime is over and you have downloaded the latest update. Therefore, we are tracking the server downtime for you and listing the most important leaks from the update. So stay tuned to not miss anything!
What happens during server downtime? The servers will be taken down. During this time you cannot play Fortnite.
When does the server downtime in Fortnite start? The servers will be taken down on January 22, 2026, at 10:00. A short time before (about half an hour, around 09:30) matchmaking will be disabled (Source: x.com).
When can I play Fortnite again? That depends on the size of the update and the duration of the downtime. This is a larger update, so expect it to take one to three hours or more.
When will patch notes be released? Epic Games only sporadically posts patch notes for updates and typically only after downtime. As soon as they are available, you can read them with us.
