Update from March 11, 2025 – 10:30 AM: We are still seeing the servers as offline. However, there are now details on fortnite.com regarding the improvements and bug fixes of 34.10:
- In V.34.10, the developers implemented a change so that matches only start when the lobby is full (5v5). If the lobby cannot be filled, all players return to the main menu and are requeued.
- The developers have made improvements to data exchange between server and client, so players can no longer eliminate each other simultaneously.
- A bug has been fixed that caused players to lose control of the camera.
- A bug has been fixed that caused graphics and sound effects to continue after sliding.
- A bug has been fixed where weapons with scopes were visually held higher than other weapons.
- A bug has been fixed where light reflections on weapons were not displayed correctly when players ran around corners.
- A visual error has been fixed where eliminated players had full health in the upper player bar while watching.
- A graphic error has been fixed where weapon attachments disappeared when the weapon carrier was too close to a wall.
- A graphical error on mobile devices has been fixed that occasionally occurred when a flashbang was thrown.
- A visual inconsistency with weapon recoil has been fixed.
- A typo in the English game version in the message “Time is up”, displayed at the end of a round, has been fixed.
- Some player animations for moving left and right have been revised.
- Several technical performance improvements have been implemented.

Update from March 11, 2025 – 9 AM: The maintenance started at the announced time, and the servers are offline. The maintenance is expected to last about an hour and a half, until approximately 10:30 AM.
What happens when the server is down? The servers are shut down. During this time, you cannot play Fortnite.
Server down in Fortnite – from when? The servers will be shut down on March 11, 2025, at 9 AM. A short time before this (about half an hour), matchmaking will be disabled (via x.com).
When can I play Fortnite again? That depends on the size of the update and the duration of the downtime. In the absence of official information from the developers, one can only guess at this point.
When will the patch notes be released? Epic Games now sporadically presents patch notes for the updates, usually only after the downtime. As soon as they are available, you can read them with us.

What can I expect with the upcoming update? The leaker Shiina has already expressed some guesses on X.com about what exactly could be in the update. Here’s what you can probably count on:

Later, Shiina provided an outlook on the Shohei Ohtani collaboration (via X.com), the confirmation of new Crocs items in the Fortnite shop (via X.com), and an official image from the developers of the Rocket Drill, Outlaw Shotgun, and Pump & Dump Gun (via X.com).
