Season 9 of Fortnite is here and the map has undergone massive changes. We show you all the new locations on the island.
What has changed? After the volcano erupted at the end of Season 8 and destroyed two locations in Fortnite, new game worlds have now emerged there, designed in a futuristic style.
In addition to these two locations, there is now also a third new location in Season 9. In terms of biomes, not much has changed in Season 9. For example, the ice and desert biomes remain.
These locations are new in Season 9
Neo Tilted: Tilted Towers was demolished at the end of Season 8, but a new location quickly emerged! Neo Tilted towers with futuristic buildings and impresses with lots of bright lights and fun structures.
Mega Mall: Where Retail Row used to stand, you can now find a huge shopping mall called Mega Mall. You can enter this shopping center and find good loot in numerous shops. The open roof promises extra action, as enemies can attack you from here at any time.
In front of the shopping mall is a huge parking lot that offers little cover. Here, your building skills are required.
Pressure Plant: After the volcano erupted at the end of the last season, it seems to be a bit quieter now. A new location has emerged directly in the volcano crater: Pressure Plant.
It looks like a research station is being set up here. There are no real houses, but structures supported on stilts. It remains to be seen if anything will be discovered here.
What you can find all over the map now: Across the entire island of Fortnite, a total of seven sky platforms have appeared. Their exact purpose is still unknown. For the challenges in week 1, you at least need to visit them.
Also new are the wind tunnels that whirl you through the air at lightning speed. They are spread across the map. You will especially find these tunnels at the new locations Mega Mall and Neo Tilted. You must also visit them for the weekly challenges.
