The end of the current Season 2 of Chapter 3 in Fortnite is approaching – and now there are also first hints about a big live event. Several leaks suggest an exciting finale.
This is happening in Fortnite: Today, the update 20.40 went live in Fortnite, bringing back the familiar Tilted Towers weapons. At the same time, the update introduced new data into the game that known leakers and dataminers immediately pounced on. They found a few exciting hints.
What the leaks show: The leaker “iFireMonkey” shared a whole series of code lines related to gameplay on Twitter, which are supposed to be used in a big event. It seems to be called “Armadillo,” and judging by the code lines, it looks like there will be an explosive battle with tanks and rockets.
An interesting point: The theme “Moon” appears more often. For example, there seems to be a “Moon Pod” that is entered and exited. This at least suggests that it could be going towards the moon and thus space. Also, shop backgrounds that iFireMonkey shares on Twitter fit the space motif.
It would also fit the “Moon” theme that in the past several rumors about an expansion of the Star Wars theme in Fortnite have arisen. Since early May, players could again fight with lightsabers and buy the already known Star Wars skins in the shop. The Obi-Wan series is set to launch soon – it is quite conceivable that there will be another collaboration between Star Wars and Fortnite, just like in past Star Wars films.
More leaks: Users are sharing additional leaks about the upcoming event in the subreddit “FortniteLeaks“. These suggest that the team leaders from past seasons could play a role. Additionally, it is possible that there will be longer downtime after the event.
However, there is still no official information about the event. So far, it is only leaks that could come into the game in completely different forms or not at all.
When does the event start? Again, there is no official time yet, but the current Battle Pass runs until June 4. This date would be suitable for an event.
Live event for the season finale is taking shape in Fortnite
This is currently happening in the game: There is also a new development in Fortnite that is already live. A new POI has appeared in the middle of the map – the “Collider.” This giant device is crawling with IO troops.
It seems that the I.O., after several defeats in the battles against the Seven over the past weeks, has gathered here to prepare for the grand finale. Fans are already referring to the “Collider” as the new “Doomsday Device” – which was the driving force behind the end event of Season 2 in Chapter 2.
However, what exactly will happen here at the season finale will likely only become clear in the coming weeks.
By the way, you could also refer to the drum shotgun as a “Doomsday Device.” This weapon is currently absolutely OP and drives even professionals insane.
