What is the deal with the free subscription? Disney and Epic Games have teamed up again. But instead of adding more Disney franchises to the game, like Star Wars or Marvel, this time you get access to the original works. Because Fortnite grants you one month of free access to their streaming service Disney+. There, you can watch many Marvel or Star Wars movies and series, including the brand new season of The Mandalorian. This series makes players excited for the MMORPG SWTOR.

What do I need to do to get the subscription? To receive the subscription, you basically just need to make some form of real money purchase in Fortnite. It’s enough if you bought something after November 6, 2020.
On November 10, 2020, a special page will go live at Epic, where you can redeem the Disney+ subscription. However, the page will only go live on November 10, so don’t be surprised if the link leads to an empty page before then. This offer is not available everywhere, but Germany is among the countries where the free subscription is expected according to the official FAQ on the Epic homepage.
Important: The offer is only valid for new subscriptions. If you already have an active subscription, you cannot get an extra month through this.
I don’t want to spend much money, what is the cheapest thing I can buy right now? Currently, Epic offers the “Street Serpent” pack for 3.99 Euros. This is currently the cheapest real money purchase you can make in the shop.
By doing this, you save a total of 1.98 Euros, as a Disney Plus subscription costs 6.99 Euros per month. So if you want to buy something in Fortnite anyway, you can take the subscription as a bonus.
Why is Epic doing this? As with the cheap bundles that Fortnite regularly offers, these are offers meant to encourage players to make their first real money transaction. Because once someone has set up a real money transaction account and invested their first Euros, they are more likely to continue investing money into the game in the future.
