Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS & Xbox One) once had a building element that allowed you to catapult yourself around. These “Bounce Pads” have since been removed, but according to a datamining leak, they might make a comeback soon – and make shopping carts even crazier.
What are Bounce Pads? Veterans of Fortnite: Battle Royale and fans of the PvE mode are surely familiar with Bounce Pads. These are buildable elements, similar to traps, that you can place. When you step on them, they catapult you in a certain direction, including straight ahead.
With these, some very crazy actions were possible. However, the pads were eventually removed in the battle royale mode. But apparently, they are coming back soon.
Leak reveals the new Jump Pads – Also for shopping carts?
What is known? The dataminers “DieBuddies” have once again dug through the code of Fortnite and found images and data about the Bounce Pads. They will likely return soon and allow for quick jumps across the map. This already brings some speed to the already fast-paced gameplay.
But according to the Buddies, it gets even crazier: Apparently, the Jump Pads can also be used with the new shopping cart vehicles. Players are already moving quickly, and if those things can fly through the air now, Fortnite has really ramped up the speed.
Are the Jump Pads only coming for the new mode “Creative”?
It is still unclear how and when the Bounce Pads will come into play. Many players speculate about the already announced new mode “Creative,” where one is supposed to try out various things.
Many players find that the Jump Pads would be best placed there initially. Are you already looking forward to the Jump Pads? Or is Fortnite – not least because of the new shopping carts – fast enough for you already?
