In Fortnite: Battle Royale, there are recently recurring kill zones that can instantly kill you. The latest one has emerged with the reconstruction of Tilted Towers.
What are kill zones? The term “kill zone” refers to places in Fortnite: Battle Royale that can simply kill any player who enters them due to bugs. There is no protection against it. Anyone who visits the location dies instantly and without any clear reason.
The cause of the kill zones is a bug that has apparently been reappearing since Season 8, no matter how many times kill zones are closed off. So far, it has appeared in the quarry in the form of a knife and in a cellar in the former Tilted Towers.
The latest kill zone is also near Tilted Towers, or rather its new form Neo Tilted.
Where is the latest kill zone? As seen in a video on Reddit, the new kill zone is at a slope south of Tilted. More specifically, in grid square D6, on the eastern edge, toward the river.

In the video, a player tries to grab a supply drop and some of the items slide down the slope. The player wants to follow them and as soon as he steps on the slope, he dies instantly.
At first, one might think that an extremely precise sniper was at work, but the game text clearly says, “You have eliminated yourself!” The teammate shortly thereafter shares the fate of the first player and also dies at exactly the same spot. It indeed appears to be a kill zone.

What does Epic say? It seems that the bugs with the kill zones are becoming more frequent. So far, Epic has always fixed the errors promptly.
There is apparently no official statement from the developers yet, but one can assume that the new kill zone will soon be removed again. Possibly with the next patch, which is expected this week.
