The superhero adventure “We Can Be Heroes” featuring “The Last of Us” star Pedro Pascal suddenly made it into the top ranking of the most successful English films on Netflix.
Netflix regularly releases viewer numbers for series and films on its platform and creates rankings of the top titles in overview.
Recently, there was a change in the metric, where not only viewed hours are important for the ranking, but also the runtime is accounted for as a factor. Additionally, the measurement period of a title’s success was increased from 28 days to 91 days.

After these changes, a family film featuring “The Last of Us” star Pedro Pascal suddenly took one of the top spots.

How successful is We Can Be Heroes? The superhero film from 2020 ranks 6th among the most successful English-language titles on Netflix.
The ranking is based on the views within the first 91 days that the film is available on Netflix. For non-English productions and series, there are separate lists.

- 137.3 million views
What is We Can Be Heroes about? The film is about children of superheroes who must work together after their parents are kidnapped by aliens.
A sequel to the superhero film has already been announced. Expected to release at the end of 2024, Part 2 will once again be directed by Robert Rodriguez.
