A new trailer has introduced what players can look forward to in Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and CoD Warzone. For the first time, there were also moving images of the new Warzone map Rebirth Island.
Many have been waiting for this: Recently, Black Ops Cold War postponed its first shared season with Warzone by a few days to December 16. Fresh official information has thus taken a little longer to arrive, but now it is finally here.
With a new trailer, CoD presents the new content in moving images as well. Finally, there is also a first look at the new Battle Royale map Rebirth Island, which will be introduced to Warzone in Season 1. Many have been eagerly awaiting exactly this. After all, a new Warzone map is among the biggest wishes of many players.
You can find the other content of Season 1 in our comprehensive overview on the topic:
What exactly does the trailer show? In addition to a first look at Rebirth Island, the following can also be seen:
- the new operator “Snitch”
- the new map “Raid” – a popular returning map from Black Ops 2
- the combat helicopter as a new vehicle (for Warzone)
- or the new weapons from the Season 1 Battle Pass such as the Striker shotgun
Here you can watch the trailer:
This is Rebirth Island: “Rebirth Island” is evidently a revised version of the Battle Royale map “Alcatraz” from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The map was also subsequently introduced for the first Battle Royale of Call of Duty, the Blackout mode – by the way, also only some time after its launch.
Rebirth Island is said to be somewhat larger than the source material from Blackout, but significantly smaller than the current Warzone map in the area around Verdansk. The map apparently offers a good, compact mix of buildings, open spaces, and winding tunnels.
By the way, Rebirth Island is an additional map for the Battle Royale and is not meant to replace or displace the existing map around Verdansk.
What do you think of the new Warzone map? Are you looking forward to finally jumping into the action there? Do you need to form your own opinion first? Or are you not excited about this new map so far?
