In The Division 2, the raid Operation: Dark Hours was first mastered on PC just a few hours after release. Now a team has finally succeeded on console – in more than 7 times the time!
Since May 16, agents in The Division 2 can dive into a new top activity – the 8-man raid Operation: Dark Hours. However, the raid has taken a different course depending on the platform since launch.
Here’s how the raid started on PC: On PC, the raid was cracked by a team just over 5 hours after its release.
The World First title was secured by a group from the POG clan (Positive Gamers) led by the well-known YouTuber and Division expert MarcoStyle. Agents can now look forward to a cool commemoration in the Operations Base of The Division 2.
Meanwhile, some agents are already running the raid on PC in under 30 minutes:
Here’s how the raid started on consoles: On the PS4 and Xbox One platforms, it looked a bit different. Until recently, no team had managed to crack the raid. Many agents reportedly struggled with the first boss Boomer.
Many complained that the raid on consoles was harder to master with a gamepad and lower frame rate. Some even urged the developers to demonstrate in a stream how they play the raid on consoles.
But finally, a team on PS4 has managed to complete the raid for the first time.
Here’s how the World First went on consoles: The first console team to crack the first raid of The Division 2 was a group from the PS4 clan TNT – nearly 57 hours after launch!
That it runs somewhat differently on consoles than on PC is underscored by their time. The group took a total of a whopping 36 hours and 42 minutes of gameplay (including breaks, not continuously) before finally defeating the raid.
That is more than 7 times the time that the fastest team on PC needed for this achievement. Nearly 20 hours of that alone went to the final boss of the raid.
This is what the fans are saying: On Reddit, the guys from TNT are being celebrated heavily for the World First on consoles. Many fans say it’s far more impressive than the World First on PC.
Numerous users are calling for Massive to give this group their own picture in the White House. Some jokingly mention that the group should now equip themselves with the Xbox to finally get a World First clear there as well.
But due to the large difference in time, some users also point out that it is obvious that Massive still needs to make some adjustments for the raid on consoles. 5 and 36 hours speak a clear language.
What do you think of this achievement? And how do you see the big time difference between PC and consoles?
