Final Fantasy 14 Stormblood brings new classes, but no new race. That’s a shame, as many players would have liked to see the bunny girls of the Viera race. However, there are handfirm reasons why the Bunnys are (still) not in the game.
Final Fantasy XIV received the dragon-like Au Ra as the last playable race . Many players are now wishing for more races, and the Viera are particularly in demand among fans. The Viera are cute girls with bunny ears, who made appearances in earlier Final Fantasy games. Many players had hoped that the Bunnys would come with Stormblood or a subsequent patch.
However, this will not happen for now, related to the feet of the bunny girls.
Final Fantasy XIV – The Viera have the wrong shoe size
In an interview with Finder.com, chief developer Naoki Yoshida explained why there are currently no Viera in Final Fantasy 14. The reason is simply the strange feet of the bunny girls. Unlike the other races in FF 14, the Viera walk on their toes and have pronounced heels. If they wear shoes, they require extremely high heels.
Unfortunately, no cobbler in Eorzea can currently make shoes that would fit the Viera. The workload for the graphic designers would be enormous, as all shoes would need to be redesigned specifically for the Viera. However, this does not mean that there will never be Viera.

According to Yoshida, one should not give up hope. Perhaps the developers will still find a way to bring the bunny race with suitable shoes into the game. Possibly through an adjustment to the lore in the game that explains why the Viera can wear shoes belonging to all other races despite their unusual foot shapes. After all, it is a magical world!
