The launch of the companion app for Final Fantasy XIV is finally coming into view. At the end of July, the app should be available with all its starter features for players worldwide – this should be the release date.
The app is finally coming: Although a specific release date is still not confirmed, fans can look forward to more information about the app’s features in the near future. It is assumed that the launch of the app will coincide with the release of a new 4.3x patch for Final Fantasy XIV.

Developed for Android and iOS systems
This is how the companion app will work:
- There will be a free and a premium version
- The monthly subscription for the premium version costs 500 yen (approximately €3.50)
- Users of the app will receive bonuses in Final Fantasy XIV such as discounted teleportation
- You will not be able to remain logged in to the app and FFXIV simultaneously.
- There will be a daily login bonus
Producer Yoshida stated that the app will continue to be developed and both the free and premium versions will receive new features in the future.

Square Enix has also launched a special page for the companion app to explain the app’s features to players. Although there isn’t much new information there yet, it doesn’t hurt to keep an eye on it.
