The update is only being released for the “NextGen” version of FIFA 23. It will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, but not for PS4 and Xbox One.
There are several points in the update that could noticeably affect gameplay. We will show you the most important content from the patch notes.
FIFA 23 Patch Notes for Title Update 4 with Trivela Nerf
What’s included in the patch notes: The patch notes for Title Update 4 contain numerous changes and bug fixes. This is the most extensive update yet regarding gameplay adjustments.
You can find the complete list with over 60 major and minor changes on the EA FS Tracker (via Trello). Here we will show you the most important areas of the changes.
The Trivela shot is nerfed – was the best shot
Changes to the shot: The update includes an adjustment to the strong outside-foot shot, which some players found too overpowered. The accuracy of the shot will now be reduced by a whole 30%.
However, there is an exception: For players with the “Outside Foot Shot Trait”, the accuracy is only nerfed by 10%.
Otherwise, there are many more changes that we will categorize into 3 areas.
1. Numerous changes to gameplay – with goalkeeper improvement
What is changing? The list of changes and especially the bug fixes in Title Update 4 concerning gameplay is long. Particularly interesting are the following fixes:
- Players could skip the powered shot animation by rapidly pressing the shoulder buttons after a regular shot. This has been corrected.
- The goalkeeper could position himself incorrectly after being controlled manually. Additionally, goalkeepers have been improved, and there are to be fewer errors.
- Furthermore, the goalkeeper could suddenly leap in the opposite direction during a penalty, even if he was already heading to the wrong corner.
- After a tackle, the ball could fly too far away – this has also been resolved.
- Semi-assisted through balls should now arrive better with the player instead of with the opponent.
- The referee logic will be improved in some situations.
- In addition, many other smaller bug fixes are included.
2. Annoying bugs in FIFA 23 will be fixed
The new update now addresses fixes for issues that have been disturbing the gameplay experience since the release of FIFA 23. The most important fixes in the update are:
- Changed settings for controller and camera could constantly be reset. This should be fixed.
- Some tasks in FUT Moments were not correctly recorded.
- In the FIFA World Cup mode, there was a bug when creating the quarter-finals with incorrect teams.
- Additionally, some players were unable to access the World Cup online mode due to a bug.
- On PC there have been problems since the launch of FIFA 23. The update now includes several fixes. These include:
- Fixes for anti-cheat errors 5 and 740
- Sudden game crashes after launch
- Bluetooth controllers could unintentionally scroll through the menu
Whether the PC problems are now finally resolved remains to be seen in the near future as more players actively have the update.
3. New updates in the FUT menu
A seemingly small change, but useful and long requested: In Ultimate Team, you can now track how many wins and losses you accumulate in FUT Champions.
Additionally, there are some corrections in Career Mode, Pro Clubs, and Volta.
Overall, the list of changes is long, and the update could leave a noticeable impact. It will be exciting to see how the new features affect the game.
