For the Football World Cup, FIFA 23 has released dynamic Path-to-Glory cards that can become even better. We will show you when the cards are ready for upgrades.
What is Path to Glory in FIFA 23? The “Path to Glory” event revolves around the players participating in this year’s Football World Cup. They can become stronger and receive upgrades depending on how far they progress.
This is how Path to Glory upgrades work: For the new World Cup special cards to receive upgrades, the nations of the respective players need to progress further in the tournament. The first upgrade is awarded for reaching the knockout stage and the last after winning the final match.
This is how the upgrades look in detail:
- If a team survives the group stage, the player gets an upgrade
- After the first knockout round, there’s another upgrade
- Winners in the quarter-finals receive 5 stars on their weak foot
- Winners in the semi-finals get 5-star skills
- The final winner receives an additional attribute upgrade and three new player traits
