In FIFA 23 you can currently obtain a Hero-Pack through an SBC, but the maximum rating is 87. Who could be included?
What is this Hero SBC in FIFA 23? The challenge “Max.-87-FUT-Hero-Upgrade” was released on Monday evening and is still available for two more days.
It gives you the opportunity to receive a FUT Hero card – but with an overall rating of 87. All you need to do is exchange a team that meets the following requirements:
- The team rating must be at least 85 overall
- You need a TOTW card
- And there must be 11 players included
You don’t need to pay attention to any chemistry conditions, so it is an easy SBC. You just need players with values that are high enough. However, you can place them in any position.
How much does the SBC cost? According to current solutions from futbin (as of October 25, 11:30 AM), the SBC costs you about 76,000 coins if you were to buy all the cards new.
However, you can use cards from your club or from rewards to drive down the price and thus only spend coins on additional players if your SBC fodder is insufficient. If you need coins for that, you can find trading tips for FIFA 23 here.

Is the Hero SBC worth it? Since it’s purely random which Hero you get, it is hard to assess. If you get one of the top picks like Touré or Marchisio, it’s great, but you also risk getting less desirable or less playable cards like Campos or Cahill. Always keep in mind: The chance for top cards is low.
However, there are many Heroes in the SBC that at least correspond in value to the input and are at least “pretty good.” If you already have most of the necessary players and only need to buy a few or preferably none, the risk might be worth it.
But keep in mind:
- The Hero cannot be traded. You cannot sell the card on the market, it won’t bring you any coins.
- It may happen that you pull weak Heroes or those that don’t fit into your team.
- In the chemistry system, however, the Heroes can be quite useful as they provide your team with good chemistry points from their respective leagues.
