Keep in mind: This list is not exhaustive; there are plenty of other interesting cards in Ultimate Team. If you have a few player tips for us, leave them in the comments!
Konrad Laimer
Price: approx. 9,200 coins
What makes Laimer special: Laimer has been a popular player for the starting phase after a FIFA release for several years, and this year the midfielder can once again score with strong values across the board. He is the ideal option when looking for a strong defensive player in midfield.
However, Laimer’s price has been steadily rising for several days. Possible that he will soon exceed the 10,000 coin limit.
Leroy Sané
Price: approx. 8,900 coins
What makes Sané special: Some players criticize that the offensive player of FC Bayern may be a bit too slow this year. Nevertheless: As a strong dribbler, Sané can be a dangerous offensive option, especially in Bundesliga teams.
As positions, Sané offers LM and LF; he can only be placed on the left in the starting lineup to gain chemistry. In the game, however, a position change to CAM can be worthwhile – as he can act as a dribbling playmaker and scorer, circumventing defenders with quick movements.
Adama Traoré
Price: approx. 7,400 coins
What makes Traoré special: Traoré is a FIFA classic, known mainly for one value: speed endlessly. If you’re primarily looking for fast players, Adama Traoré is likely the obvious choice. Additionally, as a Spaniard in the Premier League, he offers a good option for hybrid teams with LaLiga.
In addition to pace, Adama has strong dribbling and physicality stats, but struggles with shooting and passing. Therefore, you should consider carefully whether you want to pay the price of around 7,400 coins or wait for a drop.
Nevertheless, it could be a variant to carve out a path with Traoré through sprints and then try his luck with the new power shot.
You can see how the power shot works here:
Timo Werner
Price: approx. 6,300 coins
What makes Werner special: The striker is back in the Bundesliga and is perfect as a forward for starter teams. Werner has the necessary speed and strong finishing stats to provide your team with the needed goals for the first promotions in Division Rivals.
He also has two alternative positions that you can use with the position modifier: In addition to the ST position, Werner can also be deployed as CAM and, recently, as LF.
Araujo
Price: approx. 4,000 coins
What makes Araujo special: The defender of FC Barcelona is considered one of the fastest in LaLiga, which is why some players on the platform futbin criticize his 77 for pace. However, in the game, he is still a danger to attackers, as his speed rating consists of 68 acceleration and 84 sprint speed.
He is among the players who have the “Lengthy” sprint type: He does not start off explosively fast but can catch up with speedy players later on. And, when Araujo is positioned correctly, he can shine with strong defensive and physical stats.
Thomas Lemar
Price: approx. 1,400 coins
What makes Lemar special: Lemar from Atlético Madrid has received an interesting position change. Instead of being deployed on the wing as in previous years, Lemar can now also be utilized as CM.
This suits his stats quite well – at least if you’re looking for an offensive option. With dribbling, speed, and passing, Lemar can really impress. Additionally, as a Frenchman in the Spanish LaLiga, he provides good chemistry options for team building.
Only defensively is Lemar not well positioned, so don’t plan to use him as a destroyer. Nevertheless: an interesting, affordable option for starter teams.
Mikel Merino
Price: approx. 950 coins
What makes Merino special: in the FIFA subreddit and on futbin Mikel Merino’s card is currently being praised. The Spaniard has an 83 rated card with quite balanced stats and can operate in virtually any area of midfield but currently costs under 1,000 coins.
Only his dribbling is criticized – however, dribbling in FIFA 23 is generally not so easy.
