In FIFA 22 the Pre-Season Event has started, which promises FUT players initial rewards for FIFA 23. Here you will find out what you can expect from the new promo.
Update, August 20 09:00 AM: Meanwhile, the Pre-Season Event has started and the first rewards for FIFA 23 are known. You can earn the following (untradeable) packs in the first week:
- Quick Start Pack 1:
- 3 rare Serie A gold players
- 3 rare Bundesliga gold players
- 3 rare Ligue 1 gold players
- 3 rare Premier League gold players
- 3 rare La Liga gold players
- Warmup Pack 1:
- Rare gold player contracts (x5)
- 2 rare gold player pack
Additionally, the Pre-Season Event brings back some of the strongest special cards from FUT 22 into the game. You can currently find the following players in packs:
Moreover, a new Showdown SBC introduces new cards for Nunez (96) and Eriksen (96), where you have to choose a candidate.

What is the Pre-Season Event? The Pre-Season Event is characterized by the fact that by playing FUT 22, you can already unlock initial rewards for the upcoming FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
Last year, there were among other rewards that could be earned by completing SBCs (Squad Building Challenges):
- Two FUT 22 coin boosts (5 games x 1,000 coins)
- A FUT 22 Quick Start Pack with chemistry styles, jerseys, and a gold pack
- A FUT 22 ‘One League for Itself’ pack with 3 gold players from all major European leagues
Although the rewards last year were not incredibly good, they could still be quite useful for starting the new FUT season. We are curious what rewards there will be this time and will keep you updated as soon as we know more.
When does the event start? A loading screen in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team announced the event and confirmed the start for today, Friday, August 19 at 07:00 PM.
What content does Pre-Season bring for FIFA 22?
With these contents you can expect: Apart from the loading screen in FIFA 22, there are currently no official information on the contents and rewards of the new Pre-Season Event. However, it is likely that particularly powerful cards from the current FUT season will return in packs.
Moreover, there were top transfer cards in recent years where recently transferred players received particularly strong cards. So it could be that we might see a Man City card for Erling Haaland.
