Is it legal to buy coins in FIFA 19 Ultimate Team – for PS4, Xbox One, or PC? No, these penalties await for buying and selling coins.
EA published the guidelines for FIFA 19 and specifically for the “Ultimate Team” mode, for FUT 19. It lists several things that are prohibited. Anyone who violates the rules must expect severe penalties.
With this, the developers aim to provide a fair and enjoyable gaming experience for everyone and to take a strong stand against cheaters.
Buying coins and autobuyer tools for coins in FUT 19 are prohibited
Some FIFA players are now asking: “What is prohibited?” EA lists these things:
- Coin transfer: You violate the rules if you use the FUT transfer market to transfer coins to another player instead of acquiring a player item in a legitimate way for a fair price. In this case, you pay a coin price for a player item that is significantly above the average price of the item to effectively conduct a coin purchase. This is not allowed. Even if such a transfer is intended as a gift or if you have multiple accounts and want to transfer the coins back and forth, it violates the rules.

- Coin buying: Anyone who buys coins from third parties gains an unfair advantage. Additionally, they risk losing their account information to phishers, as coin sellers ask for account login details. EA also advises against “mule” accounts and “comfort” deals: Better leave it.
- Autobuyer tools: Those who use in-game bots to quickly generate coins also violate the rules.
- Advertising for coin buying and selling: Anyone who promotes these actions violates the rules.
- Coin farming: Also prohibited
- Spreading false information: Anyone who falsely reports to EA support representatives violates the rules.
- Any form of hacking and cheating is generally prohibited.

You can expect these penalties
According to EA Sports, these measures may be taken if the rules are violated:
- Removal of the account from the FUT Champions leaderboards
- Removal of FUT Champions bonuses
- Removal of your FUT coins
- Deletion of the FUT team
- Temporary or permanent deactivation of the account’s access to the transfer market
- Temporary or permanent deactivation of transfer market access via the Companion/Web App
- Ban from the current FIFA game
- Ban from all FIFA games
- Ban from all EA games
- Temporary ban of the console for FIFA online modes
You can find the full guidelines on the EA page.
In short: The coins in FUT 19 are a currency that you may only earn – whether by playing matches or trading smartly on the transfer market. All other actions, especially those that the game itself does not allow, are not permitted.
