Which actor is it about? Laz Alonso plays Mother’s Milk in the series, abbreviated as MM. MM is a member of the Boys
and takes over the reins of the group in Season 4 after Butcher’s methods caused problems. Previously, he was somewhat of a counterbalance to Butcher, providing calm amidst the chaos.
In Season 4, the actor looks a bit different, which is why many people thought MM had been recast.

No new actor, just no more beard
Why do people think he was recast? Apparently, the question of whether Mother’s Milk was recast is relevant. Many posts and articles are addressing this question. User @blurayangel on X shares a comparison image.
In the post, he clarifies once again that MM is still played by Laz Alonso. As seen in the picture, he has only lost weight and shaved his beard. The comments react both to his appearance and to people who genuinely believe it to be a different actor.

In the first three episodes, we see multiple times how MM reads books to combat his compulsions. His stress level has increased immensely as he now leads The Boys
and has to report everything to the CIA. In the first episode, Kimiko tells MM that he should finally eat more.
This suggests that stress has also affected his eating behavior, causing him to look different in the series. Previously, small hints of similar stress behavior had been displayed.
Ashley was pulling her hair out, A-Train had heart problems, and even Frenchie’s mental state is reflected in his behavior. The marketing for the new season is once again on point.
