As soon as the summer holidays are over, an offer on Steam can send fans of the Harry Potter universe back to their desks.
Which offer is being referred to? The open-world game set in the Harry Potter universe, “Hogwarts Legacy” by Avalanche Software, is part of the “Back to Hogwarts celebration” on Steam and is currently reduced by 80%, available for only €11.99 (instead of €59.99). This is the lowest price ever for which the game has been available (Source: SteamDB).
For those who haven’t played it yet and have perhaps been considering diving into the game and the world surrounding Hogwarts, now is the time to act. The offer ends on September 2, 2025 – after that, the Hogwarts Express will have left.

Which other games are also affected? The “Back to Hogwarts” offer applies not only to Hogwarts Legacy, even though it is available at the lowest price so far. Other franchise games like the “Lego Harry Potter Collection” and “Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions” are also reduced by 80%.
However, for those more interested in Hogwarts Legacy, they could also buy the Digital Deluxe Edition for just €2 more (€13.99), which includes the game as well as a few in-game items like the Thestral mount, a battle arena, a cosmetic set, and a dark arts field cap.
Is the game worth it for interested players? At the time of this article, Hogwarts Legacy has a “very positive” rating on Steam (92% of 11,950 German user reviews are positive). The reviews (via Steam) show what players particularly enjoy about Hogwarts Legacy.
