In a few weeks, FIFA 20 will be released. The predecessor often caused frustration – the community compiled a comprehensive list of many reasons for this.
FIFA 19 didn’t always run smoothly: Throughout the FIFA 19 season, there were occasional errors. For example, server issues prevented a smooth Weekend League process, causing delays in the schedule.
In November, problems arose when the published Prime Icon 3 Set was removed in the form of an SBC after players had already started it. EA noticed an error and later put the SBC back online.
The POTM SBC for Jadon Sancho was also initially made live, only to be taken down again. Here, EA simply confused Sancho’s position.

Community collects 130 mistakes during the season
Community on the lookout for errors: In February, the user “Redditallbefore123” posted the “Complete Collection of FIFA 19 Content Mistakes” in the FIFA subreddit, neatly ordered by date. The user primarily focused on content errors, such as those in FUT cards, SBCs, or posts from EA’s official Twitter channel.
Server errors or gameplay aspects were not included in the list. From that point on, “Redditallbefore123” expanded the list with every single error, receiving help from the community, which pointed out further errors in the comments.
In the end, the list totaled 130 mistakes. Included were: Incorrect rewards, faulty player upgrades, strange rewards for the Weekend League, incorrectly stated nationalities of players, and much more.
This week, the list officially came to an end. The community ceremoniously bid farewell with a video that you can watch here:
The search for FIFA 20 now begins
Can FIFA 20 have mistakes already? Only indirectly – the game isn’t out yet. However, the team behind it has already made a few mistakes. These have been ruthlessly added to the new list by the community. As it stands, FIFA 20 has three mistakes according to the fan list:
- EA announced for Pro Clubs that the Virtual Pro can also take the positions LM/RM. However, this was already the case before.
- The player Van Dijk was referred to as “Van Dyke” in a post about the cover release.
- When releasing the stats for Zinedine Zidane, the values on the website differed from those on social media channels.
The author “Reditallbefore123” expressed confidence in his new post that EA would make fewer mistakes this year: “Come on, you can do it.” Will he be right?
For most players, the content errors in FIFA 20 are likely to be of secondary importance. The more exciting question is about gameplay – when you will get to test it, you can find out here:
