Cyberpunk 2077 has been making players quite happy since Update 2.0 and the release of the expansion Phantom Liberty, and they are even wishing for a live-action adaptation on reddit. This has even been announced by CD Projekt Red.

The most upvoted comment praises the game’s immersion and storytelling and wishes for a live-action adaptation. This touched a nerve with several users:
A whole series of positive and supportive comments followed – some even with casting wishes. Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand is one of the top picks, among other things, because he already embodies Johnny in the game.
Will there be a live-action adaptation? The answer is: Yes. Just on October 5th, CD Projekt Red announced that in cooperation with the production company Anonymous Content, they are working on a live-action film for the Cyberpunk universe.
Anonymous Content was founded in 1999. Since then, the company has been producing films and television series worldwide. Their portfolio includes the Netflix hit series 13 Reasons Why and The Revenant, for which lead actor Leonardo DiCaprio won his first Oscar.
The Cyberpunk project is still in the early stages of development, according to CD Projekt Red. Authors are currently being sought for a completely new story in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. A timely release is therefore not to be expected. In the meantime, you can shorten the wait with the Anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which is part of the official Cyberpunk canon and is available on Netflix.
