What is the problem? In the main parts of the Borderlands series, there are several vault hunters that players can embody. Well-known characters like Lilith have even appeared across multiple installments, making them iconic figures in the franchise.
However, at first glance, it seems that none of the vault hunters from Borderlands 4 have a significant unique feature, according to one Reddit thread. The creator of the thread believes that the characters look bland. They are his least favorite from all the Borderlands installments.
Other players agree with him. Reddit user Pino_jay states, for example, that he misses an alien or robot hunter. All the vault hunters in Borderlands 4 are human, which he does not like. The typical archetypes like Siren and Sniper are also not recognizable.
So, fans are likely bothered by the fact that none of the hunters have a unique feature. However, many players might be able to live with them if certain conditions are met.

On one hand, users hope that there will be crazy skins in Borderlands 4 again. In the predecessor, there were the most colorful skins for weapons and characters which allowed players to distinguish themselves even more clearly from others. On the other hand, players hope that the background stories of the characters are all the more exciting. If the appearance is boring, at least they could be satisfied with an intricate backstory.
