All players of Evolve can look forward to a new character, the adaptation “Wasteland Maggie” is now available.
With Fire and Flame Involved
Evolve occasionally increases the number of playable characters by adapting existing hunters and monsters, thus creating a “second version” of the respective character. These “adaptations” are free for all players and usually differ drastically from the original version, making them a fully-fledged addition.

The latest adaptation takes on Maggie, gives her a distinct post-apocalyptic appearance and equips her with what one can never have enough of: flames. We take a brief look at her adapted equipment and how it affects combat now:
- The light machine gun has been replaced with the Flame Pistol. This fires short bursts of molten ammunition that ignite all targets, causing damage over time.
- The harpoon traps have been replaced with a single Fire Trap. This is quicker to set up and has a significantly greater range. However, it not only restricts the monster’s movements but also sets it on fire!
- While Daisy was previously only a means to track the monster and revive fallen teammates, this changes drastically with the adaptation. The Combat Snatcher has a flamethrower strapped to its back, burning monsters that come too close.
