In Evolve there is a new character. What “Electro Griffin” can do is truly shocking!
Electro Griffin
Evolve has changed its name to “Evolve: Stage 2” and has been available as a Free2Play title on Steam for a few weeks now. Although the game is still in beta, the developers at Turtle Rock have resumed work on new characters to keep longtime fans, returnees, and complete newcomers engaged. A new character was patched into the game a few days ago with “The Electro Shock Update 2.02”. “Electro Griffin” is an adaptation of the already known trapper Griffin, who has exchanged a large part of his equipment for weapons with additional lightning effects.
Let’s take a brief look at the abilities of Electro Griffin:
- The weapon The Laser Storm is a machine gun that deals low damage but simultaneously applies a slowing effect on the monster.
- The harpoon The Final Lockdown restricts the monster’s movement and deals damage while it is embedded in it.
- Nothing has changed about the Sound Spikes. These are still placed on the map and alert the hunters as soon as the monster is nearby.
- Even the last ability, the Planet Scanner, is identical to those of the other trappers. It reveals in which direction the monster is located and grants a temporary speed boost.
As Electro Griffin is an adaptation, all former buyers of the game get this character for free. However, those who want to purchase the character individually can acquire him for 8,000 Silver Keys (the in-game currency).
