PcGamesN had the opportunity to preview the new characters, and while they were not so impressed with the new hunters (only the support character Sunny received praise), Behemoth managed to impress the colleagues. It may be because the new Rockstar of Evolve lost only two games that afternoon.
He can roll up and charge forward, like a giant “Sonic The Hedgehog,” it is said, and he is even a good deal larger than the Goliath. As an earthquake-causing, lava-spewing, stone-wall creating force of nature, he has some tactical options: He can isolate individual opponents with his stone wall. Furthermore, he captures enemies with his massive tongue.
If he wants to make a quick escape, the “rock ball” move, his “Sprint” ability helps. This can also be used offensively, but leaves a trail of fire. He is therefore easy to track. There is always a delay of a few seconds before his skills are ready. But it is apparently clear who the new star of Evolve will be: And he is not in the Drop Ship.
Behemoth and the four hunters will be available on March 31 for Xbox, PlayStation 4, and PC. They were already part of the complicated pre-order and special edition politics around Evolve – some have already purchased him. A standalone purchase of Behemoth is said to cost around 15 euros.
