The character selection for the shooter Evolve is getting even bigger! At E3, there was a brief, vague glimpse of the new characters that will soon traverse the battlefields of Shear. There is already gameplay footage of the new Assault.
Lennox – A woman who doesn’t back down
Lennox will be the first to appear, already on June 23! The good lady is going full Space Marine and has completely integrated herself into a mech. The iron skin gives her some tactical advantages on the battlefield and fundamentally distinguishes her from the male Assaults:
- Lennox is steadfast. The heavy metal armor “Thunderchild” ensures that its wearer is not knocked back by most attacks, allowing her to stay in close combat.
- The Plasma Lance deals damage at close range. While the first hit is weak, the damage multiplies with subsequent hits up to a factor of 4. Stacked charges disappear after a short time if Lennox takes damage or misses an attack.
- Thunder Strike is similar to the Goliath’s “Leap Smash” and serves the same basic purpose: It catapults Lennox to a specific location and deals area damage there, regardless of the jetpack.
- As a ranged weapon, she has a highly precise Autocannon that is clearly reminiscent of a modern-day anti-aircraft gun.
Season Pass 2
Apart from the fact that all characters will receive an exclusive skin, there are no precise details yet, just the silhouettes, which at least suggest for the monster: It will be crawly. A mix between spider and praying mantis, at least at first glance. Perhaps the medic Slim and the new monster also share a common story?
The 4 new hunters will again be available as part of a Season Pass, a price has not yet been announced. Owners of the “Monster Race Edition” can at least be partially happy: The 5th monster is free for them and also 2 of the 4 hunters are free.
