Throne and Liberty is the “next big thing” on the MMORPG horizon. We will briefly tell you what you need to know about the online role-playing game from NCSoft and Amazon Games.
From July 18 to July 23, 2024, the open beta of Throne and Liberty ran on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. The worldwide release is set for October 1, 2024. Those who purchase one of the optional early access packages (prices and contents are not yet known) will enjoy up to five days of early access.
All of this is reason enough for us to summarize the most important information about Throne and Liberty briefly.
The following trailer prepares you for Throne and Liberty:
What kind of MMORPG is Throne and Liberty? Throne and Liberty focuses heavily on PvE and PvP content for large groups, such as castle sieges, world boss events, and guild raids. There are no classes; instead, your playstyle is determined by your two weapons, which you can switch between. The combat system offers a mix of tab-targeting and action.
Your adventure takes you through a vast game world that can change due to the dynamic weather system and day-night cycle. By transforming into animal forms and using tools like a grappling hook, you can move very flexibly through the regions.
What kind of server structure does Throne and Liberty use? Throne and Liberty will offer several servers per region, accommodating 3,000 to 5,000 players. It is also known that there will be separate servers for early access and for the launch. Thanks to crossplay, PC and console users will be on the same servers.
What kind of payment model does Throne and Liberty use? You can expect a Free2Play payment model with an in-game shop, battle pass, and real-money currencies. There are various changes compared to the Korean version, which positively affect the monetization of the game. You can find all the details here:
