Owners of the PlayStation 5 with a PlayStation Plus subscription can look forward to even more free games at the launch of the new console. Sony is adding 2 more titles to the PS Plus Collection.
When will the PS5 be released? In Europe, including Germany, Sony’s next-gen console PlayStation 5 will launch on November 19, 2020 – just 3 weeks away.
And if you were able to secure a PS5 at launch and have an active PS Plus subscription, you can look forward to a cool bonus from Sony at the console’s launch.
What is the PS Plus Collection? All owners of the PlayStation 5 with a PS Plus subscription will receive from Sony the so-called PS Plus Collection – completely free of charge.
This bonus is essentially a collection of numerous top titles from the PS4 era, intended to sweeten the start on the new console for players. This should please many gamers, as not everyone finds something among the PS5 launch titles. This way, players will have a wide range of games to tackle right from the start.
All these games benefit on the PS5 from improved loading times and more stable frame rates thanks to the PS5 Game Boost.
Originally, the PS Plus Collection consisted of the following 18 titles:
- God of War
- Bloodborne
- Monster Hunter World
- Final Fantasy XV
- Fallout 4
- Mortal Kombat X
- Uncharted 4
- Ratchet & Clank
- Days Gone
- Until Dawn
- Detroit: Become Human
- Battlefield 1
- Infamous: Second Son
- Batman: Arkham Knight
- The Last Guardian
- The Last of Us Remastered
- Persona 5
- Resident Evil VII – Biohazard
So there should be something for almost every taste. Now, however, Sony has announced that the Collection will be expanded by 2 additional titles.
What new games are being added? In addition to the 18 titles already available, there will be
- Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy – consisting of the popular platforming classics Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Warped
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombie Chronicles Edition – including the full game and the Zombie Chronicles expansion with 8 remastered versions of classic zombie maps
In total, PS5 owners with PS Plus will have 20 games available in the form of the PS Plus Collection.
When exactly will the PS Plus Collection be available? In the USA, Canada, Japan, and some other countries, the PS Plus Collection will launch on November 12. In Germany and other European countries, it will be available just like the PS5 on November 19.
By the way, in addition to the PS Plus Collection, the November lineup of PlayStation Plus also features a PS5 game for members for the first time: PS Plus November 2020: New monthly free games for PS4/PS5 are announced
