, J.D. and Turk are visited by their college buddy Spence, played by Ryan Reynolds, before he became a mega-star. As a trio, the old friends engage in all sorts of shenanigans.
Although Turk and J.D. are supposed to be on call, they drink beer with Spence in a hot tub. When they suddenly get called to work, they are sent away by Cox and blame Spence for everything.
Spence himself is a funny character, but especially the confrontation with J.D. and Turk’s job situation is interesting. He counters their accusations that it is not his fault if they do not want to work. For J.D. and Turk, not everything can always be fun, and that is exactly what Spence shows, as he seems to take his job as a banker more seriously.
