Havoc is the new expansion of the probably most well-known space sandbox EVE Online and it will be released in November. This was announced by the developer at the fan fest for the 20th anniversary of the MMORPG. Fans have been wishing for the feature that Havoc brings for about the same amount of time.
What is Havoc? At the EVE fan fest 2022, the developers announced that they would increasingly focus on expansions for new content. Since then, the two add-ons Uprising and Virdian have been released, which build on each other both in their mechanics and in their story.
Havoc will be the third expansion in the series, which is intended to continue this pattern. It will be released on November 14 and will set clear priorities. These promise more power for players, stronger organizations, fundamental changes in faction wars, and pirates.
Furthermore, new players will be better introduced to the game, there will be numerous quality-of-life adjustments and new ships for the pilots of EVE Online.
We will insert the trailer for the new expansion here as soon as it is online.
EVE Online gets new expansion Havoc – What’s in it
How does it work with the pirates? Practically since the beginning of EVE, there have been players who wanted to ally themselves with the space pirates, an NPC faction in the game. Some have already done this, but did not gain anything from it and were even shot down by their NPC friends.
However, with Havoc, this should be possible. You can ally with the pirate faction in the game and consequently work for them. If you do this, you will not only become best buddies with the nasty space thieves but also earn loyalty points that you can then redeem in the respective shops.
Among other things, for the total of 5 new ships that come into the game with Havoc. This includes 2 battle cruisers, 2 destroyers, two of which will be available in the game next week, and the long-awaited Angel Titan.
This is said to be one of the most powerful ships in the game. According to the developers, fans will need 3 to 4 weeks to build a single copy of the new Titan. Its power is said to be immense.

How is the war changing? Players who ally themselves with pirates also have a concrete influence on the faction wars in EVE Online. Specifically, on the frontline principle. In this “mode”, two factions fight against each other, and front lines, command, and safe zones are formed. As a pirate, you can establish a front base and then invade the territories of both participating factions.
This adds an additional layer to the system and should create considerable chaos as well as break up the currently formed front lines somewhat.
What other changes are there? In addition to the already described things, you can expect sensible quality-of-life adjustments. This also includes the function for corps to repair remotely and restore shields. This is also something that players have been wanting for a long time.
Meaningful options like auto-payment for ongoing contracts are also set to come into play with Havoc. The expansion thus focuses on giving players more power and providing them with the necessary tools to do so.
What do you think of the add-on? Did you always want to be on the evil side? Or would you personally not have needed it? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO.
Also announced at the fan fest was EVE Vanguard, a first-person shooter that works for and in EVE Online.
