In The Elder Scrolls Online there is a particularly cool pet that you don’t even have to buy. You get the “Infernium Dwemer Spider” for free if you sign up for marketing emails.
Which pet is it? The “Infernium Dwemer Spider” is a variant of the cool mechanical Dwemer spider, which was last available as part of the Morrowind package for about 10 Euros. Originally, the spider even cost almost double that.
The paid version was “only” a regular Dwemer spider. The Infernium Dwemer Spider glows and has flames on its legs. As is known from the high-quality pets of ESO, the spider does not just stand around. Instead, it scurries around and sometimes rolls up. Even cooler are only “useful” pets, like the new Pack Rat:
How do you get the spider? As mentioned at the beginning, the spider costs nothing. You get it for free if you sign up for marketing emails from Bethesda and ZeniMax.
How to qualify for the Infernium Dwemer Spider
What are the consequences of signing up for the emails? By signing up for marketing emails, you will receive emails about ESO more often, including for events and other stuff. However, you are not obligated to use these offers and events.
How do I sign up for marketing emails? If you want the pet and wish to sign up accordingly, you must first log into your account on the ESO homepage:
- After logging in, go to “Marketing Preferences”
- There, check the box that says “I want to receive news about current events and special offers”
- Then click Save
However, you must complete this by no later than July 1st at 08:59 our time to receive the spider.
What happens next? Once you have taken this action, you should receive an email in July 2020 containing a code for the spider pet. You can redeem the code in the game in the Crown Store under the “Redeem Reward Code” tab. Alternatively, you can also do this in your account on the ESO homepage.
If you no longer want to participate in the marketing campaign, you can unsubscribe at any time through the menu in your account.
ESO has beautiful pets and mounts. Unfortunately, they are usually not free, but very expensive. Especially if you want one of the new super mounts that are currently available in the shop via loot boxes in The Elder Scrolls Online. If you want the best mounts, you’ll statistically have to dig deep into your pockets.
