The Elder Scrolls Online is celebrating its third birthday today, on April 4, 2017! There is a anniversary cake and special rewards from quests!
The Elder Scrolls Online is turning three years old today, on April 4, 2017. During this time, ZeniMax’s online role-playing game has experienced some highs and lows, from a rather troubled launch and the lackluster first year to its rise as a free-to-play game and the breakthrough with the free play concept “One Tamriel”.
To celebrate these three turbulent years properly, Zenimax is offering you a big cake for plenty of experience points and extra chests from daily and weekly quests!
The Elder Scrolls Online – Birthday Event – Get the Anniversary Cake!
For the anniversary celebration, the developers at ZeniMax have hired the famous baker Dondolon, who is known throughout Tamriel. The pastry chef is so skilled that he offers his baked goods at three locations at once. You will find him in Vulkhel Guard, as well as in Daggerfall and Davon’s Watch, where he gives you a special quest.
If you can’t find the baker (Tip: He is usually surrounded by crowds of players), you can purchase a free item in the Crown Store that starts a quest leading you to Dondolon. From April 4 to April 18, you can complete the quest for Dondolon and unlock an anniversary cake as a collectible.
ESO Anniversary – Ideal for Leveling!
You can set up the cake, and every group member can enjoy a piece of cake during the event period, receiving a 100% experience boost for two hours. This boost even stacks with other XP bonuses! Thus, the anniversary event is perfect for gaining some levels or Champion Points.
More Rewards from the Birthday Event
But the cake and experience point boost are just the beginning! From daily and weekly quests, you will also receive additional gift boxes during the event. These contain crafting materials and also guarantee at least one rare item, such as Nirncrux, chapters from crafting books, style materials, plans for furnishings, and more. So, quests are worth it not just for the experience!
However, remember that this afternoon there will be maintenance on Xbox, and tomorrow, April 5, there will be maintenance on PlayStation 4 throughout the afternoon until around 5 PM.
