Escape from Tarkov: Jaeger Quest – Unlocking Introduction
To unlock Jaeger, you need to complete the quest “Introduction” in Escape from Tarkov. You receive this from the dealer “Mechanic” when you reach level 2.
However, before you can accept the “Introduction” task, you also need to accept the mission “Gunsmith Part 1,” which you also receive from the Mechanic.
You do not need to finish “Gunsmith Part 1” anymore, as was the case some time ago. It is enough to accept the mission.
Escape from Tarkov: Finding Jaeger’s Camp and Completing the Introduction Task
To complete the quest “Introduction,” you need to find Jaeger’s camp on the “Woods” map. There, you need to collect a note located under a lookout tower.
You can reach the lookout tower by going east on the map to the crashed airplane and then running south from its cockpit towards a large rock. Right next to the rock is the lookout tower with the note on the ground.
The quest is considered complete when you deliver the note to the Mechanic in the mission menu.
After completing the mission, you have successfully unlocked Jaeger and can accept quests from him or purchase equipment.
Why should you unlock Jaeger? You receive various quests from Jaeger that can give you experience points, several thousand rubles, as well as equipment items and weapons.
The dealers in Escape from Tarkov are especially worthwhile if you are not yet level 15, as you unlock the Flea Market only at level 15. There you can also buy weapons and ammunition early in the game, for example.
At the beginning, the OP-SKS and the VPO-209 are especially valuable when dealing with Jaeger. You can acquire them for a few rubles.
