ArcheAge – Everything new in December!
Trion’s sandbox MMORPG ArcheAge will receive the addon “Revelation” on December 10th. It includes two new races, new areas, plenty of housing, and even the opportunity to start fresh on a special server.
Forget the past!
ArcheAge has had a rocky road and scandals like the shitstorm over the dolphin mount or botched addon launches angered and scared some players away. Update 3.0 Revelation is supposed to fix all of that because the expansion brings a huge zone full of housing spaces and no PvP. In addition, you will be able to unleash with two new races, the cute and beer-drinking dwarves as well as the demonic and horned warborn.
The new races start in new areas that we will explore throughout the story. Anyone wanting to try one of the new races or level another character can also sign up with a fresh account on a special restart server. There, equality should prevail and unlike the rather rocky releases of the past, everything should work out this time, and no player will be disadvantaged.
Christmas in ArcheAge?
So far, nothing has been officially announced, but there is also a special Christmas event in ArcheAge called “Festival of the Winter Maiden.” This has been celebrated every year so far, so it is very likely that this year, alongside the start of Revelation, there will also be a Christmas event in ArcheAge.
In it, you can expect decorations for your house (if you have one), and the main cities in the game will also be festively decorated. During the festival, there has also been a PvP ban in the cities. In special events – including a snowball fight – you can earn rewards, and there are also quests that can bring you gifts. These might contain particularly sought-after items.
The main reason for a return to ArcheAge is of course the update Revelation, which should be interesting for veterans, newcomers, and complete newbies. So if you’ve always wanted to try Trion’s sandbox, you have the perfect opportunity starting December 10th. And if the Winter Maiden Festival comes along as well, there will be something to celebrate! Don’t miss our article on the features of Revelation!
If nothing is available for you in December 2016, you’ll have to set your sights on the time after New Year’s:
