Ubisoft has presented a new trailer for Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad. The game is being released for mobile and reminds a bit of Rainbow Six Siege. We show you how to register in advance and secure bonuses.
What is Elite Squad? It is a shooter set in the world of Tom Clancy. It was first introduced at E3 2019 and afterwards it became relatively quiet about the mobile game – except for a blatant Chinese copy that caused a stir.
Now there is a new trailer for Elite Squad. It was shown at Ubisoft Forward 2020:
Register in advance and grab bonuses
You can do that now: On the Elite Squad website, you can now follow a link for pre-registration. You will then land in the Play Store and can register there in advance. The same applies to the App Store from Apple.
If you have done that, you can secure an exclusive content. This includes the M1911, a semi-automatic pistol. It is a level-2 weapon from the character Montagne and can then be played upon download.
What is known about the game so far? In many ways, the shooter resembles Rainbow Six. You can also play characters that you know from there. However, characters from Ghost Recon, The Division, and Splinter Cell are also expected to be playable. The latter has even been shown as a new operator for Siege by a data miner.
You will then compete in a 5v5. A mode that is also familiar from Rainbow Six. However, there are also single matches against each other. Additionally, there is a campaign mode that you can play through.
Another parallel to Rainbow Six is the abilities of the characters. As mentioned, Montagne can be seen, but also Caveira and Tachanka.
Many details are not yet visible, but it seems that different players also have different strengths. For example, there are experts in sniping, explosives, and even in disabling EMP.
When is Elite Squads supposed to be released? The shooter is supposed to be available on August 27 for iOS and Android. So we can expect more information soon.
With this, Ubisoft is finally bringing a type of Rainbow Six to the mobile market. The Chinese copy Area F2 has already disappeared from the market following a lawsuit from Ubisoft – at least for now.
