Reaching a specific ending of Elden Ring can be quite frustrating, especially when the worst enemy of the game stands in your way: fall damage. However, thanks to a trick, you can hop to your goal without much trouble.
Which ending is it about? Elden Ring has six different endings, which are more or less challenging to achieve. Unlocking all of them in one playthrough is theoretically possible – check out our guide for that.
Some of the endings are quite straightforward, such as the “Elden Lord – Age of Fracture” ending. For this, you only need to defeat the final boss and select the Fractured Marika.
However, one of the other five endings is a bit more difficult to achieve. We’re talking about “Lord of the Frenzied Flame.” It is the “evil” ending of the game. Once you decide on this, you exclude all other endings.
But to unlock it, you have a pesky “puzzle” in your way. It can quickly become very frustrating. However, thanks to a trick, you can make your life easier.
Here’s how to unlock the ending without any problems
What do you need to do to unlock the ending? “Lord of the Frenzied Flame” is a bit hidden. You need to go into the capital Leyndell’s sewers and defeat the boss Mohg there. Not the one from the Mohgwyn Palace, but an alternative version of him.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll find a secret area behind a hidden wall. A very deep shaft, at the bottom of which you’ll find a door. Take off your armor, step through the door, and receive the Frenzied Flame from the Three Fingers. After defeating the final boss, choose “Ignite Frenzied Flame” at the Fractured Marika.
Sounds easy, right?
Unfortunately, that shaft can quickly lead to much frustration. Because here you have to skillfully jump from one platform to another. The boards where you can land are narrow, and it’s all too easy to fall to your death.
However, there’s a simple yet very practical tip. In a YouTube video from the channel Kaki Gaming, he shows that three simple rolls help reach the abyss. Instead of pressing the jump button, the YouTuber uses the dodge roll at certain points.

In this way, the player not only reaches his goal at the bottom of the shaft but also takes along the Fingerprint Shield on the way. It is one of the best shields in the game. And all of that thanks to a simple trick that only requires a little change in thinking.
