The DLC for Elden Ring has many annoying bosses, but none of them is as unfair as the final boss. A player has now fought against him and shows how to defeat him without dodging or blocking.
WARNING SPOILER: If you do not want to know who the final boss in the DLC is, you should leave the page now.
Why is the final boss so unfair? Radahn, the promised spouse, is a tough guy in the new DLC of Elden Ring. With Miquella on his shoulders, he combines holy attacks and his gravitational talents into something nightmarish. Agile movement, a lot of health, combos with great range, and his second phase leave players struggling against him for hours.
Many therefore try to memorize his attacks to block and dodge at the right moment. A player has now opted out of this and shows all the tarnished how to defeat Radahn while only taking hits.
Just take hits and dish them out, no dodging
What items did he use? The small YouTuber Recjawjind has released a video (source: youtube.com) in which he shows his fight against Radahn. In this, he fights without his healing flasks, and without dodging or blocking. The amazing thing about it is that he managed to do it effortlessly.
To accomplish this, he built a tank. His character relies on bleed damage combined with high resistance to holy damage. As “Miraculous Potion”, Recjawjind uses the opals “hardened tear” and “crimson bubble tear” – this increases his resistances and he regenerates health points when in danger of death. The following items were equipped:
- White Mask
- Green Scrawled Set
- Weapons: 2x Cross-Naginata with bleed affinity and war ash “Determination”
- Talisman 1: Dragon greatshield talisman (Golden braid for holy resistance)
- Talisman 2: Towel of the Godskin
- Talisman 3: Spear talisman
- Talisman 4: Blood’s Jubilee
- Summons: Blessing’s Favor, Golden Oath
- Great Rune of Malenia
How could he defeat Radahn? Essentially, the YouTuber constantly used his war ash to avoid being knocked over by the boss’s hits. With the Rune of Malenia, he could constantly restore his lost health points if he acted quickly enough for counterattacks.
His two Cross-Naginatas also ensured that he could quickly trigger bleed damage. To heal, he preferred to rely on buffs, as well as the Talisman of the Godskin. With this tactic, he could effortlessly take hits while still attacking.
Even though this type of tactic was aggressive and successful, it requires a lot of preparation to work. A build that is just as deadly and successful against Radahn is presented here: Elden Ring: The best Blood Build lets you melt bosses in seconds – Here’s how to play it
