Elden Ring offers another way to strengthen your character with Talismans in addition to your equipment. They can be particularly useful at the start. We at MeinMMO show you where to find one of the best early on.
This is how Talismans work in Elden Ring: These are equipment items that you can equip in addition to your weapons and armor. There are numerous variants, each bringing a different effect.
- For example, they can increase your mana or health points.
- There are even Talismans that increase the damage of certain types, but reduce your resistances.
- You can even increase your attributes with Talismans, but you will also have a lower resistance to all types of damage.
How can you equip Talismans? Throughout the game, you will unlock several rune slots. You will receive the first one after defeating Margit, the Fel Omen.
A particularly useful Talisman can be found early in the game: the Blessed Dew Talisman.
Blessed Talisman – Effect and Location
What kind of Talisman is this and why is it worth it? When equipped, it continuously regenerates your health points.
The Blessed Dew Talisman provides additional healing
Especially at the start of the game, you have limited options to heal yourself in combat. Therefore, health point regeneration can be lifesaving for beginners.
- At the start, you initially have only limited potion uses until you gradually acquire more.
- Thus, a permanent health point regeneration can be very useful, especially in emergencies. If you run out of potions and are about to die, the health regeneration can save you.
- When it gets dire, you only need to keep your distance from the enemy until you have restored enough health points.
Via the Tower of Return, you reach the capital
Where can you find the Talisman? You need to head to the southern part of Limgrave. First, orient yourself east from the tutorial dungeon until you reach the road. Follow it south and then cross the bridge to the southern island of Limgrave.
Once you have crossed the bridge, follow the road and ride to the southwestern tip of the island. There you will find the Tower of Return.
- Watch out for the enemy knights around the tower and climb to the top.
- There you will find a chest that you need to open. This is a hidden teleporter.
- This chest takes you to the Royal Capital Lyndell.
- Activate the Site of Grace and go through the archway behind you.
- The sought treasure chest is on the right side.

Here you need to watch out for the golem. If you enter the area, he will notice you. You can grab the Talisman in time before the giant gets you, or confront the fight.
But keep in mind that the golem is quite strong and is actually intended for higher character levels, as it is a later area.
If you decide to fight, especially move around his legs and attack them alternately. Watch out for his stomping attacks, which you should definitely avoid.
If you deal enough damage, the golem will fall over and you can attack his weak spot on the upper body.
But you have to be fast enough; otherwise, he will get back up and you will miss a critical attack.
You can alternatively attack from a distance with spells. For this, you can check out our beginner guide for aspiring wizards.
