Elden Ring: Nightreign introduces new, even tougher bosses, but the real final bosses are the servers

In Elden Ring: Nightreign brings FromSoftware new types of the known Night Lords, which are supposed to be even harder. For many, a reason to log in again, but a look at the servers is enough to make the fun fade away.

What are fans currently struggling with? Besides the new Night Lords in their Eternal Darkness sovereignty form, fans are also struggling with the servers. Since the release of the second form of the Fulghor boss came closer, there have been constant server crashes regarding the connections. Players are often kicked from the group before the end of an expedition or during their travels because the connection to the servers drops.

One might think that this is not a problem. Nightreign has the ability to rejoin older expeditions from which one has been kicked, but in this case, the function does not work. Instead, you are greeted with the message: “The current session cannot be restored. Return to the title menu.”

In the best case, this happens just before the start of a round, in the worst case at the end of an expedition. Fans are beside themselves and let their frustration run free.

Players find great groups, but the servers have other ideas

How are the fans reacting? They are puzzled because they are often kicked out of rounds when they have found an excellent group. Some players even joke and say that one of the new bosses is stressing the servers quite a bit, and that’s why there are problems. The following can be heard on Reddit:

It remains to be seen whether FromSoftware can find and roll out a fix for these connection issues soon, but until then, fans will have to be patient.
