Patch Notes for Version 1.02.2
What is included in the patch? The focus of the patch was primarily on balancing updates for the characters as well as some adjustments to features, the Everdark bosses, and bug fixes. You can find the complete patch notes on page 2.
Notably, there is an adjustment to the Leave Penalties. The penalties for leaving a run have been modified. If you are disconnected from an ongoing session due to internet issues, or because you quit the game, it now results in penalties that restrict multiplayer functions.
This penalty is lifted if you rejoin the session you left. This is to prevent runs from being involuntarily ended and incurring penalties for it.
Deep of Night – a new hard mode for experienced players in Nightreign
What is there to know about “Deep of Night”? The update brings a new mode of the same name that aims to provide tough challenges with a high difficulty level for experienced players. The following aspects are to be at the forefront:
- Enemies are significantly stronger than normal
- You cannot choose the Night Lord you face
- Shifted lands have no effect on this mode
- Exclusive “Depth Relics” specifically for the new mode
- Weapons can also have negative effects
- You play more than 3 nights and go “deeper” each time
- Depths 4 to 5 offer an endless fight
Further information is not yet known and will likely be part of the patch notes once they go live. We will keep an eye on it for you and update the post promptly.
