On July 31, 2025, Patch 1.02.0 for Elden Ring: Nightreign will be released. When the servers are down, when you can play again, and patch notes can be found here.
What happens during the server downtime? The servers will be shut down to upload the new update. During this time, you can only play Nightreign offline and solo. To be able to play online again, you must have downloaded the new update – however, it is currently not available.
Server downtime in Nightreign – from when? The servers will be shut down on July 31, 2025, at 10:00 CEST (17:00 JST, 01:00 PDT) on all platforms.
When can I play Nightreign again? According to a post on X.com, maintenance and implementation of the patch will take about 1 hour. We will inform you as soon as the servers are available again.

All Patch Notes for 1.02.0
What is in the patch notes? There are currently no patch notes available, but FromSoftware has announced what you can expect in the upcoming update. Primarily, you can look forward to three major changes:
- The implementation of the Duo mode that many Nightfarers have been waiting for
- Unlocking a new Sovereignty boss – The Augur
- A new filtering system for your relics
Further adjustments such as balance changes or the implementation of new QoL features that are meant to ease your life in Limveldt are also possible, but until we know what FromSoft has prepared, we have to wait for the patch notes.
In the future, Nightreign is also expected to receive additional content such as a major DLC. This will likely introduce new bosses and characters for a fresh experience.
