A small hotfix patch for Elden Ring brings few, minor adjustments. The most important one concerns Malenia. The hardest boss in the game is now no longer almost unbeatable. MeinMMO tells you more.
Patch 1.04 of Elden Ring has greatly improved some aspects and removed a few annoyances from the game. However, one thing was added that was probably not intended.
Malenia is regarded as one of the hardest bosses in the Souls history, also because she can heal herself with hits. However, with the patch, she also healed herself when she did not hit you with her attacks. This made her almost unbeatable.

What does the new patch bring? The hotfix patch 1.04.1 reverses this unintended buff for Malenia. Thus, the blade of Miquella is still very difficult, but no longer unfair.
But also aside from Malenia, there are other changes in the game. We list them here for you:
- A bug was fixed that incorrectly adjusted the effect duration of the Sky-Blue Secret Tear downwards
- A bug concerning Malenia, Blade of Miquella, was fixed, which caused her HP not to heal correctly in online multiplayer mode
- A bug was fixed that caused some bosses to die at unintended times
- A bug was fixed that caused the final boss in the game to not function correctly under certain circumstances
- Some text errors were fixed
The patch is now available on all platforms and is only a few megabytes in size – 20.8 MB on Steam.
If you still need help with Malenia: A YouTuber recently discovered a build that he calls “crazy” and “broken OP”. The damage values of the weapons in this build will drop your jaw. With it, he can destroy even Malenia in a few seconds – and all with a simple combo:
