On your journey through the shadowland of Elden Ring, you will repeatedly encounter the large, wandering oven golems. We will show you where to find them and how to defeat them.
What are Oven Golems? Shortly after entering the DLC, you will discover the first of the eight oven golems in the distance. They walk on two legs, have arms, and a “oven face”. A fire burns in their core, which the opponent can also make quite effective use of in battle.
Upon closer inspection, you will notice that there are human-like bodies trapped inside the oven – pretty disturbing when you think about it. We will show you all locations of the giants and how to best combat them. With the directory, you can quickly jump to the individual points of the guide.
Finding Oven Golems – All Locations
The oven golems wander in the open world and are all optional. Especially at the beginning, the fight against them can be difficult, especially if you haven’t collected any of the findable Scadubloom fragments yet. You can find a guide about this on MeinMMO.

If you defeat a golem, you will receive different equipment. Each of them drops an oven face that can be used as material for crafting items. Additionally, the ovens drop new crystal tears for your potion mix.
However, before that can happen, you first need to overcome the giant opponents. In the next section, we will reveal some tips for that.
How the Oven Golem Fights
What abilities does the opponent have? When you face the battle, you should best be mounted on your horse Stormwind. This allows you to avoid some of the golem’s attacks. It’s best to equip a talisman that gives you a lot of fire resistance, such as the Flame Dragon Talisman +3.
The fire is intense. If you get too close to the golem’s feet, it will stomp and create a large wave of fire. You can avoid this by executing a double jump on Stormwind at the right moment. But be careful: Watch out not to jump into the burning foot.
On the other hand, if you keep your distance, the golem will throw fire at you. You can evade this attack by dodging sideways.
If you have already significantly reduced the opponent’s health bar, it will jump high into the air and land with a crash on the ground. This will also create a large, dangerous wave of fire, which you can once again avoid with Stormwind and a double jump.
The opponent has one last nasty trick up his sleeve: He can lean forward and grab at you. If he catches you, he will throw you into the blazing fire of his oven, and you will die. You can avoid this attack by staying behind him.
Defeating the Oven Golem
How do you defeat the golem? The opponent is especially vulnerable at the legs. So aim your attacks at them and try to break the stance as quickly as possible. Then the golem will fall to the ground and the sensitive spot on its head will come within your reach. At the glowing spot of the mask, you can land a critical hit and deal massive damage.
Depending on the strength of your weapon and character, the golem can withstand between one and three such critical hits. If you use spells, you can attack comfortably from a distance and directly hit the face. Just watch out for the powerful counters the golem fires at you.
If you are slightly elevated above a golem, you can also throw a “Heavy Fire Pot” directly into the oven, which also deals a lot of damage.
