In EA FC 25 the Black Friday brought many special players to Ultimate Team. You can pull almost 150 special cards for a week. A lot of upgrade packs are available for you. On MeinMMO we will show you all the ways how you can increase your chances of getting a valuable player.
Why are there so many special cards? Around Black Friday, 3 different promo teams came to Ultimate Team. The nearly 150 special cards arise as follows:
- 48 players from the Thunderstruck event
- 100 players from the Best-of-Team-of-the-Week/Best-of-Campaign-Team

In total, you have 148 special cards available (as of December 2, 2024). Accordingly, you can complete numerous upgrade packs daily, with the chance to craft strong professionals.
Daily Upgrade Packs and Earnable Bonuses
Upgrade Packs
You should start with the daily bronze/silver and gold upgrades. Here you can build a base of gold players and get rid of your unnecessary bronze and silver players.
The players from these upgrades that are no longer needed can then be invested in further high-quality upgrades. The following improvements are available, which you can also complete gradually in this order:
- 77+-Profiwahl (infinitely repeatable)
- 80+-Doppel-Upgrade (infinitely repeatable)
- 81+-Doppel-Upgrade (infinitely repeatable)
- 82+-x14-Upgrade (3 times repeatable every 24 hours)
- 83+-Dreifach-Upgrade (3 times repeatable every 24 hours)
- 84+-Doppel-Kombo-Upgrades (5 times repeatable every 24 hours)
- 84+-Profiwahl (3 times repeatable every 24 hours)
- 85+-Kombo-Upgrade (5 times repeatable every 24 hours)
You should also complete the daily sign-in upgrade to earn strong group bonuses at the end of the week. Additionally, you have more guaranteed Icon or campaign player packs available.
Earnable Bonuses
To unlock additional packs, there are earnable contents available in the objectives. First and foremost, the Black Friday Thunderstruck daily game task promises good packs for minimal effort.
With 5 games per day in any mode, you can earn 5 times an 80/81+x2 pack. As a group reward, there’s even an 83+-x3 upgrade waiting. This applies to these tasks: The more often you complete all 5 games per day in a week, the better your group bonuses will be.
3 More Options to Collect Packs and Players
You can obtain more packs in FC 25 through 3 different ways:
- as rewards from the game modes
- Division Rivals
- UT Champions Qualification/Finals (Weekend League)
- Squad Battles
- Online/Single Player Draft
- as rewards from objectives
- 1. Rush Weekly Tasks
- 2. Live Tasks
- as rewards from the Season Pass
Packs as Rewards from Game Modes
1. Division Rivals: In the Rivals, you should try to at least reach 15 points for the weekly bonus in your division. If you want even more and better packs, you can also aim for the 35-point mark.
You can earn the rewards in time before Black Friday until Thursday and pick them up starting at 10:00 AM.
2. UT Champions: If you achieve your victories in the Rivals, you will also earn points to participate in the Champions qualification. Regardless of how you perform, packs will also await you as rewards in this mode.
Your goal should naturally be to qualify for the Champions Finals, that is, for the Weekend League, with 3 wins out of 5 games. Here, you can again aim for as many wins as possible for strong rewards over the weekend. 3. Squad Battles: This single-player mode is especially suitable for players who don’t necessarily want to duel with real opponents. Here, you can casually face the AI with your desired difficulty and gather many points in up to 14 games per week to achieve a high rank for good rewards.
To benefit from the packs before Black Friday, you need to complete your games by this Sunday (November 24, 2024) in order to claim your rewards starting at 10:00 AM.
4. Online/Single Player Draft: This mode has almost been forgotten, but it could be a good opportunity to save packs for Black Friday. In the Draft, you build your team by first choosing one of 5 random formations before then selecting from 5 randomly generated players for each position as well as the substitutes and reserves.
However, joining the Draft requires an entry fee of 15,000 coins. The rewards in the Online Draft only really pay off once you reach the third round out of a total of 4 rounds. However, with a loss, you are immediately out.
You also have the opportunity in this mode to play against the AI first in the Single Player Draft. However, the rewards here are also significantly worse than in the Online mode.
Therefore, we recommend the Draft mainly for experienced players to collect packs for Black Friday since the risk of losing coins is too high.
Packs as Rewards from Objectives
The objectives offer another good way to collect packs for Black Friday.
1. Rush Weekly Tasks: The new Rush mode offers you a mix of packs and Season Points (SP) for the Season Pass in the objectives each week. To fulfill the tasks, you mostly just have to complete games and contribute goals/assists for your team. With each game, you also collect the necessary Rush points to fulfill further tasks.
2. Live Tasks: These tasks usually appear every week with a new event and also require you to complete games and achieve goals/assists. However, these objectives usually have specific requirements regarding your team or the mode you need to play for them.
Some tasks also relate to time-limited SBCs. You should keep an eye on these to ensure you don’t miss out on the rewards.
Packs as Rewards from the Season Pass
As you play the modes and fulfill the tasks, you automatically earn Season Points for the Season Pass. This holds additional professional packs for you at quite a few levels. The more you level up the Season Pass, the better the rewards will be.
