In EA FC 24 you have until today at 7:00 PM the chance to earn a really strong card. Don’t be fooled by your first impression, because this player is an absolute rarity at this point.
Which player is it about? Jarrod Bowen from the Premier League club Westham United received a special card for the Centurion Event. He has been playing for the London club since 2020 and has completed his hundredth match for the capital club this season.
EA Sports rewarded him with a very good upgrade. However, it is not necessarily his stats that make him so strong. We will show you what makes Centurion Bowen special and why you should definitely earn him.

Bowen Centurion: His playstyle combination is really rare
What makes Bowen so special? First of all, the English winger received a very decent upgrade from 79 to 86. All his stats have been raised by eight or nine points.
That alone speaks for a good, but not yet a very good wing card. But especially his new playstyles make him unique. Before his upgrade, his normal gold card only had the playstyle technique, which is among the strongest playstyle in EA FC 24, but in itself does not represent a special feature.
The special thing about Centurion Bowen are the added playstyles, which are: Frenzy and Through Pass. Especially the new combination of Frenzy and Technique is rarely found with any other player in Ultimate Team. Only 5 other players, including very expensive cards like the Trailblazer versions of Son or Salah, have this combination.
What benefits does the interplay of the playstyles Frenzy and Technique bring? Essentially, both playstyles are playstyles of the ball control category. They thus directly affect the player’s dribbling. While Technique allows for even more effective ball control in controlled sprinting (R1 on PlayStation and RB on Xbox), Frenzy gives your players higher speed when sprinting with the ball.
The description of the playstyles suggests that they would not influence each other. However, after several games with Centurion Bowen, we noticed that he performs the OP-R1 dribbling almost as one would expect only from Messi or Musiala, that is, from players who possess the Technique playstyle in gold.
Another positive aspect of this playstyle combination is that you can be faster in both controlled sprints and full sprints (R2 on PlayStation or RT on Xbox) than players without these two playstyles. This fact, combined with Bowen’s already strong dribbling values, makes him a very agile and unpleasant opponent to defend against on the wing.
The best part is: If you hurry a bit, you can still easily earn Bowen in the Squad Battles mode. Below you will read what tasks you need to complete and how much time you should plan for it.
Centurion Bowen: How to earn the rare dribbling artist
What tasks do you need to complete for Bowen? You need to complete five simple tasks for Bowen. These can even be completed simultaneously. Three of the five tasks can also be easily achieved in one game.
These are the tasks for Centurion Bowen:
- Precision: Score 6 goals with English players in Squad Battles on at least semi-pro difficulty (or Rivals/Champions).
- Midfield Assist: Create 3 goals with midfielders in Squad Battles on at least semi-pro difficulty (or Rivals/Champions).
- Premier League: Record a goal and an assist in 3 separate games with Premier League players in Squad Battles on at least semi-pro difficulty (or Rivals/Champions).
- Outside the Box: Score 3 goals from outside the box in Squad Battles. Difficulty at least semi-pro (or Rivals/Champions).
- 8 Wins: Win 8 matches in Squad Battles on at least semi-pro difficulty (or Rivals/Champions) with at least 3 English players in the starting lineup.
So build a team with at least 3 English Premier League players, ideally strikers. Then you can score goals and assists with them. We recommend playing the matches at max on professional level to avoid unnecessary trouble with the NPCs. Goals from outside the box are also easier to achieve at lower difficulty.
It will take the longest to get the eight wins. Since the halftime length in Squad Battles is only four minutes, you should be done with the tasks in about 1.5 hours. This is not a small amount of time, but we can promise you it will be worth it.
What will also be worth it is this evolution. It brings you the best right-back in EA FC 24.
