In EA FC 24 a professional completed a walkover through his Weekend League. The player only needed two hours to achieve 20 wins and thus reach the maximum. He also approached the FIFA record for the fastest Weekend League with a 20/0 record.
Who is it about? The FIFA 22 World Champion Umut “RBLZ_Umut” Gültekin (here is his Twitch account) is one of the best players in the world. In EA FC 24, he is also in stunning form and earns the best rewards in the Weekend League week after week.
Last weekend, he finished all 20 games in record time. You can find the highlights of the most exciting games here until minute 3:30.
FIFA professional misses record for the fastest 20 wins
Who holds the current record? There is no official entry for the record, but the streamer and e-professional FurkyPlayz regularly informed his community in FIFA 23 about the best times for the fastest 20 wins in the Weekend League.
According to the streamer, he achieved a record of 20 wins in under 90 minutes, thus claiming to have the fastest time for 20 games won. This would give FurkyPlayz at least the unofficial German record.
The professional documented his record in a video on YouTube. You can watch the highlights here:
Is the record time claimed by FurkyPlayz even realistic? Normally, a game lasts 15 to 20 minutes in full length. For 5 games, one must account for at least an hour, more likely even 90 minutes. Over 20 games, this would total around 6 hours of play time.
However, many players save time by not finishing a game when they fall behind by several goals. The result is that they leave the game and give their opponent the victory even before the 90 minutes are up, which is colloquially known as a rage quit.
Thus, the under 90 minutes claimed by FurkyPlayz is nevertheless difficult to achieve, as the level of opponents increases with wins, making rage quits less likely. However, such a record time is not impossible.
The world champion missed the best time by a good half hour. However, the German eSports player was not actually on a record hunt. Something else seems to be occupying him more. What exactly, you can read below.
In EA FC 24, it became a downfall for the world champion that he apparently improved too quickly compared to most other players. He had great difficulty finding opponents.
Too fast for the WL? Professional considers new accounts
How does the professional react to his walkover? In the already linked highlight video of his weekend league, the FIFA world champion is asked by a streaming colleague what he would do for the rest of the weekend. Since the professional has nothing left to do on his Sunday, he is considering at least a third account, maybe even several new accounts.
If the eSports player manages to go through the 20 games as quickly with his future accounts, we might soon report on a new record for the most Weekend League wins in one weekend.
That he can also secure the best rewards with less strong teams, the world champion recently proved with a budget female team.
